* Brief Bio of Guest Speakers:
H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - L.N. Kyuchukov
Mr. Kyuchukov is a a graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and has specialized at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He speaks English, Russian, Romanian, French and Italian and before taking on the post of Ambassador to the UK, he has worked in the Bulgarian embassy in Bucharest and has held various work positions in Sofia. He is an ex-deputy foreign minister of Bulgaria and for the last couple of years has worked as the Ambassdor of the Republic in its embassy in London. Married, with two children.
Miss Patti White - World Health Organization
Miss Patti White has worked in public health and health promotion for a number of UK and international statutory and non-governmental organisations. Her particular interests are in evidence-based policy initiatives and programme development on topics as diverse as health inequalities, women and girls’ tobacco use and tobacco control in low and middle income countries. While at the World Health Orgaization Regional Office for Europe, she worked to set up the Smokefree Europe campaign. She has also worked as a technical advisor and consultant for WHO, the International Union Against Cancer and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease.
David Wardrope - UNA UK
David Wardrop is Chairman of the Westminster branch of the United Nations Association and a former Board member of UNA UK. He has led campaigns on many aspects of the UN's work including Human Rights, World Heritage, Freedom of Information and Development in Africa. He is the Administrator of Strategies for Peace, a group of retired military officers working in the fields of conflict prevention and conflict resolution, and Chairman of the International Friends of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the library located on the site of the ancient world's most famous library.
Gregory Rose - British Red Cross
Mr. Rose has worked for three years in Cambodia as a volunteer and later as a consultant with WHO, Management Sciences for Health, the Asia Foundation and World Vision. He was a Public Health Specialist and then Head of Health Intelligence with Primary Care Trusts in Staffordshire for four years. Since 2007 he has been Health Adviser and Programme Support Manager for British Red Cross and has worked in Afghanistan, Cambodia, China, Georgia, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Pakistan. He holds a Master of Public Health and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health in the UK.
Marie-Claire Faray - WILPF (Women's International League for Peace and Freedom)

Marie-Claire Faray, mother of two daughters, is a Medical Information Adviser and Research Scientist in infectious diseases. She is an Alumni of the London Metropolitan University, the London School of Hygiene and tropical Medicine and Queen Mary University of London, where she respectively obtained her BSc (Hons),MSc
degrees and worked as well as undertook her PhD research studies.
She is actively involved in the voluntary sector, campaigning for peace, human’s rights and women’s participation and representation in decision making arena. She is an executive member of the UK section of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), where she campaigns to end Violence Against Women and the implementation of UN SCR 1325. She has led the coordination the UK WILPF Voices of African Women Campaign and continue to work on the road map of actions for the African Women’s Decade 2010-2020; promoting the Maputo Protocol on the rights of women in Africa. She is an active member of the executive committee for COMMON CAUSE UK, the platform of Congolese women in the UK and a member of the Million Women Rise coalition.
