Message from the METiMUN 2011
Co-Secretary Generals
Dear Delegates,
It is the pleasure of the Co- Secretary Generals of London’s biggest
University to welcome you, with great exhilaration, to Metropolitan
International Model United Nations (METiMUN) 2011.
This will be the first of many annual conferences to be organized in
the heart of the most vibrant city in the world providing delegates
with a weekend of culture and instructive debate.
The METiMUN 2011, heated but delightful conference, is going to take
place over two days in November 2011.
Amongst the committees will be the Human Rights Council and the World
Health Organization which will explore issues in the field of current
and international affairs.
The debated topics will be focusing on international poverty, disease,
immigration and integration, sexual violence and more, giving students
an opportunity to voice their thoughts, expertise and intelligence on
world issues that the United Nations faces every day.
It has been an enormous pleasure for us to see the volume of students
interested in our upcoming United Nations simulation and would like to
invite all students from the U.K and all around the World to apply for
positions of chairs and as delegations for METiMUN 2011.
Between guest speakers, committee sessions and a social event this
conference aims to provide students with a friendly, creative and
educative atmosphere where all delegates will be able to participate
and enjoy themselves regardless of how much MUN experience one may
have.
We hope that this could be the beginning of a new tradition that would
inspire hundreds of students to explore the beauties of London and
leave us with some culture of your own.
We hope you join us on the 18th and 19th of November and it is with
joy that we welcome you to METiMUN 2011
Kind Regards,
Your Co-Secretary Generals,
Plamena Solakova and Reshika Mendis
